A busy few weeks!

Hey all! It's Kaysie again! What a busy couple weeks it's been! I had the chance to go out on another 5 day camping trip with 7 awesome guys. It was a beautiful trip...the weather was great, although cold at night, and the kids had a great time! On Saturday the 25th, AE celebrated it's annual Father Pete Day! We had about 50 people come to AE to eat some world famous pancakes on the grill, try out the high ropes course, and meet the staff of AE. It was a busy day but it was great to see people in the community see what it is we do here.
On Sunday, our group of six boys had the opportunity to ride the Gondola up Little Whiteface as well as drive the Memorial Highway to the castle at the top of Whiteface. The clouds were thick but it was still a great opportunity! Check out the pics!
Until next time.....keep smiling!

August 8th -17th we have a mixture of 6 boys and girls here at AE for another visually impaired cycle. They have been busy enjoying the great weather and activities as well as getting re-acquainted with one another (this is only one child's first time here, the rest are ole' pros). Right now they are out at the magical Windfall (see waaaay below) swimming, kayaking, canoeing, bbq'ing, and enjoying campfires (mmm' smores). Be sure to think of them during these cold evenings!!

Thanks to Ted Blazer and ORDA for providing our group of Visually Impaired teens with the opportunity today to go to the Mackenzie-Intervale Ski Jumping Complex. They got to watch a distance competition and ride a chairlift to the elevator to the top of the 120 meter jump! Afterwards they got to watch skiers practicing their aerial jumps into the pool. The lovely sunny day combined with such an opportunity is one they all shared they will never forget!
